We’re focussing a lot these days on making our homes more green. But now there’s a book showing us how to make our entire neighbourhoods more sustainable. And not just environmentally, but socially, economically, and culturally too.
Avi Friedman is a Professor of Architecture at McGill University and the author of Sustainable Residential Development.
He joined me on the show to launch our series on ways to make Ottawa sustainable. Be sure to catch the followup interview for this; Rhys Phillips, Ottawa resident and associate editor of Building Magazine (Canada), tells us how we could apply Prof. Friedman’s principles in Ottawa.
